Which ones? Teen Titans Go! can be read here and here. The older ones are way more difficult to find online because DC is really fussy about copyright. I can’t find any myself, but there might be people willing to scan their own issues for you.
I’ve been interested in a while in reading some Teen Titans comics, but I don’t know where to start! Its really hard to figure out with New 52 and everything coming out recently but can anyone give me suggestions! I tend to read things on Comixology since its been really hard for me to find things (especially first issues) in stores. I’ll be reading Teen Titans Go since the TV series is what got me into it…
But can anyone suggest anything else as a starting point for me? I’d really appreciate it since I’ve loved what little of certain comics I’ve read and I loved the show.
Also if you have any other suggestions on what I should get into (I was able to read 1 issue of Gotham sirens back in high-school and I thought that was pretty rad) I really like DC, but I’m also OF COURSE willing to read Marvel and anything in between
I started at New Teen Titans (the Judas Contract was the first one I read) but for a real starting point I’m not sure. I sort of accidentally fell headfirst into the middle of the comics, then used wikipedia to help me understand what was going on. When I was about eight I watched the TV show and bought the comic Family Lost, which turned out to be issue #8. I guess it would be a good idea to start from issue #1 of that run of comics, since they were very good.
I managed to get my hands on a massive original Teen Titans annual of comics for £2.99 at Forbidden Planet, which was amazing. I have no idea where else you could start with the original Titans, but if you can find anything vaguely like what I got then that’s your best bet.
I’m avoiding New 52 like a lot of people. I see it a lot in the tag, but I’m really not tempted. From the bad things I’ve heard about it, and from how different it is from what I’ve already read, I just don’t want to get into that.
As for other stuff to get into, I’d say that usually happens once you read a few Titans comics. I started to notice more JLA stuff around and picked up a few, and I also noticed a few smaller comics from the DC Universe that looked interesting and turned out to have some of the best plots and stories I’ve read so far (I found Last Will and Testament in a grab bag, and it turned out to be the death of Deathstroke).
I had a friend who decided to start reading into DC at A Crisis On Infinite Earths. BAD IDEA. She didn’t even ask me for advice beforehand, so she had no idea that she was about to read the death of pretty much every good character. So that and New 52 are my only no go zones, but I guess if you want to try out New 52 to see if you actually enjoy it then I guess whatever.
